How a Virtual Assistant can Support Coaches and Therapists
Have you been thinking about outsourcing some of those endless piles of administrivia that just won’t shrink? That it’s time you brought in someone who can let you get on with doing what you do best? Getting someone to help you so you can help others?
Being a Coach – whether for business, or lifestyle – or a Therapist is a full-time job in itself, without all the dozens of tasks that make up the ‘business’ side of your business.
You know, admin like inbox and diary management, research, preparing presentations, networking, event management, writing up notes. All those things. You're busy helping other people, but who helps you? I’ll bet anything you like that you rarely finish work at a decent time.
So. Who’s your VA? Isn’t it about time you thought about bringing one in to take care of the gazillion and one things that you really don't need to be doing yourself?
Maybe it’s time to give yourself a break and take some of your own advice.
Start with the things that really never get done – maybe because you're too busy, maybe because you really don’t like doing them. Time to consider the D word.
Delegate. Hand over your To-Do List. Or even just a few of the things on that list.
Like what? Here’s just three to get you thinking.
Social Media Management
Social media has to be one of the biggest devourers of time ever. Of course, you need a social media presence. Putting stuff out there. Responding to messages. Things about you and your practice or business. Even “just about managing it” is time consuming.
So, hand it over to a Virtual Assistant. She’ll get it done for you. How does the thought of that sound? A relief??
Content Research & Creation
Do you blog? How often? When was the last time? Late on a Friday evening, perhaps? Why don’t you have your VA research your next article? You’ll have all the information you need and all you have to do is write it. Or… how about having her write it? Or at least prepare the groundwork and all you need to do is go in and make it your voice.
Having a website of my own, I know how vital it is to add new content to keep the Almighty Google happy. Whether it’s a service you're going to be offering, a blog, a testimonial or an event … wouldn’t you rather just say, “Hey, VA, could you just …” and it’s done. One less thing for you to do. One less hour where you could be helping someone else or, try this on for size, helping you.
Let’s not forget the admin side of website management – the new services you want to offer, the rate changes. Hand ’em over and forget about them.
So, there goes another thing off your endless list.
- Newsletter management
- Diary management
- Inbox management
- Transcription – voice or handwritten notes
- Travel organisation & itinerary creation
- Visa applications
- Event & hospitality planning
- Invoicing and follow up on late payments
- Web research
- Personal appointments
How many things does that tick off your endless To-Do List? Apologies – but here’s just one more thing to add to it.
Find yourself a Virtual Assistant. Give me a call. See what I can do for you – help you focus on what you do best, and leave the rest to me.
