With more than 20 years as a “company-based Personal Assistant” – with over 15 at boardroom level. I took redundancy in September 2018 when my then-boss decided that he didn’t need a full-time PA. After six-plus months of looking for the “right” job, as opposed to a job for “right now”, and after lots of research, I decided to start my own Virtual Assistant business, and officially launched in September 2019.
I’ve always believed that being a Personal Assistant means two things…
- You’re there to make your boss’s life as easy as possible and
- To make him or her look as good as possible!
And that applies equally if you’re a Personal Assistant or a Virtual one. Small businesses – especially start-ups – often don’t need or can’t afford to have a conventional set-up, which often includes having a dedicated PA sitting at her desk with computer, telephone etc, on a full-time salary and benefits, and all the other costs that that involves – plus expensive office space. If you only need a couple of hours, a couple of times a week, then a Virtual Assistant is perfect for you. But, of course, I’m available to work for longer periods of time!If you think you could benefit from my years of experience, do please get in touch for an informal chat.
I’m based in South Oxfordshire, and I love dogs (I adopted a rescued lurcher, Bella in October 2019), Scotland, classical music, reading and – the best stress-reliever for me! – baking: bread, biscuits, cakes – you name it (I will even – as an un-costed add-on – bake for you). And I love organising people, too!
